From answering my first support chat in 2013 to running IT for around 150 people today — this is how a curious gamer became a system administrator who automates the boring parts.

2009 – 2012
Cook, Bartender & Waiter · High School
My first profession had nothing to do with computers: I trained as a cook, bartender and waiter. It taught me to stay calm when the room is full, listen to what people actually need, and deliver fast. Turns out that is a decent description of IT support, too.

Player Support Specialist · TELUS · Riot Games project
My tech career started in a chat window. I helped players with account recovery, billing, player-behavior and technical questions through Zendesk and live chat — and I was there while this support function was still in its testing phase. I learned that behind every frustrated message is someone who simply wants to get back to the game.

Two years in, I moved to the cases the front line could not solve. I worked with the technical team on global issues — and discovered something unexpected: I enjoy teaching almost as much as fixing. That is when I started creating trainings for new hires and frontline agents.

Frontline Technical Support · Concentrix
At Concentrix I supported business customers over phone and email, hit SLA targets, trained new colleagues and helped run internal technical workshops. Six years of this gave me patience, structure and an instinct for what is really broken when someone says “it just doesn’t work.”

Advanced Tech Support · Concentrix · Microsoft Surface project
Then I stepped closer to the infrastructure side. On the Microsoft Surface project I supported Premier customers and Autopilot registrations, worked with different Microsoft teams, read device and system logs, and teamed up with escalation engineers and incident managers. This is where I stopped thinking like a support agent and started thinking like an admin.

Junior System Administrator · Momentus Operational Services
My first full system-administrator role. I looked after office hardware — desktops, laptops, phones, printers and some server equipment — helped maintain Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive and user accounts, managed devices through Intune and Autopilot, handled remote deployment with Endpoint Central, and took care of office access control.

System Administrator · Excelsior Works
Since October 2025 I am the System Administrator at Excelsior Works. I moved the entire office from one location to another, and I now support around 150 users and their computers across Google Workspace, Slack, OpenVPN, Notion, Microsoft 365 licenses, Google Meet hardware and, partially, GitHub and Atlassian. And because I can’t leave a repetitive task alone, I built dashboards, tools and automations with AI agents that make the workflow faster and the business cheaper to run.

At home I run my own network with multiple VLANs, access-control rules between them, DNS and VPN — built from different networking and hardware equipment, purely for learning.
If I misconfigure something at 11 pm, the only people affected are me and, occasionally, the cat.

My work is also my hobby. When I get home, I keep going — AI, deployments, dashboards, networking. For balance, I log off.

Climbing them is how I switch my head off and see the bigger picture.
Slowly but effectively renovating it — the one project with no rollback option.
